On this tour, you will visit the main architectural attractions of Belo Horizonte: Oscar Niemeyer´s construction projects, the Mineirão soccer stadium and the various squares of the city, famed for being areas of cultural presentations and sports activities. You will also visit the central market, full of traditional tastes and a mix of local and national products

Itinerary

- 8:00 am - Meet tour participants at the hotel or pre-determined meeting point.

- Drive to Lagoa da Pampulha (Pampulha Lake) where you will see the Casa do Baile, Igreja de São Francisco (São Francisco church), the Mineirão soccer stadium and the Museu de Arte Moderna (Modern Art Museum).

- Heading to the Savassi area, where you will visit the Praça da Liberdade (Liberty Square).

- Passing by Savassi square, we move towards the south (Mangabeiras neighbourhood) to visit the Praça do Papa (Pope Square - the highest place in Belo Horizonte).

- Going back downtown past the Afonso Pena Avenue, you can see the Palacio das Artes (the theatre used for cultural and music performances), the Prefeitura (city hall) and the Conservatório de Música (Conservatory of Music).

- Arriving at Mercado Central (Central Market), participants will have free time to talk and explore the place.

- 2:00 pm- Return to the hotel.
