Pampulha International Race

The Pampulha International Race has already achieved great recognition among athletes from many locations that come to compete every year. Frank Caldeira, a Cruzeiro Sport Club athlete is the track record holder - three times champion -he is an assiduous racer and is part of the Brazilian competitors' elite.
This is a 17.8 km ground level track which is accepting applications from amateurs aged over 16 years. The race is also famous for its traditional dispute between Brazilian and Kenyan competitors, which are always alternating the lead in each edition.
To compete in the race, which marks the opening of the World Summer Games, you may subscribe yourself via internet or by filling a printed form that is available in Portuguese for Brazilian athletes and in English for foreigners ones. The deadline for applications for the race is November the 26th (or until the maximum number of entries is reached -10.000).
