Trekking Lapinha Tabuleiro

You will feel like a "Bandeirante" going through Serra do Curral's beauties on the passage of Lapinha's village up to Tabuleiro Waterfall, the biggest in Minas Gerais. You will cross the Espinhaço mountain range, from the east to the western edge, walking through fields, crossing rivers and seeing exuberant fauna and flora.

The trek involves hree days of adventure, hiking for nearly six hours per day, camping near locals' houses and learning about their culture, history and culinary habits. At the end of the hike, you will you enjoy one of the most wonderful views, according "Guia 4 Rodas": the Tabuleiro Waterfall.

Day 1 - Belo Horizonte to Serra do Cipó
Distance: 90km
Time: 1 hour 30 minutes

- Check in at the hotel in Serra do Cipó and finish lunch.
- Get to know Serra do Cipó.
- Free night.

Day 2
- 7:00 am - Breakfast at the inn.
- 8:00 am - 4X4 transportation to Lapinha da Serra to start the adventure.
- Walk to Breu Peak, passing Cruzeiro's Peak and Parauninha's River.
- Break for a snack.
- Arrive at Ana Benta's house and enjoy a warm shower.
- Set up camp and then enjoy a delicious home-made dinner.

Day 3
- 8:00 am - Wake up and have breakfast from a wood stove.
- Continue trekking to the high part of Tabuleiro's Waterfall.
- 11:30 am - Relax at the top of the waterfall.
- 03:00 pm - Begin the hike to the next camp area.
- Camping and dinner at Zé Diolindo's house.

Day 4
- 7:30 am - Have breakfast.
- Head to the Tabuleiro Waterfall.
- Have a snack and enjoy the huge and beautiful waterfall.
- 2:00 pm - Lunch at the village of Tabuleiro.
- 3:30 pm - Back to Serra do Cipó.
- 6:00 pm - Arrive in Serra do Cipó. Check in at the hotel
- Free night

Day 5
- Breakfast and check-out.
- Transfer from Serra do Cipó to Confins or to the Pampulha airport in Belo Horizonte.
