Mariana Full Day
Located on the surrounding of Ouro Preto, about 12 km. 110 km is the distance from the capital Belo Horizonte. Founded in 1745, Mariana was the first capital state and seat of the first bishopric in Minas Gerais. The story of Mariana, who is set in a period of discovery, religious, artistic projection and search for gold is also marked by a pioneering region for three centuries guard wealth which we refer to the time of colonial Brazil. 9:00 - Leaving the hotel or other meeting point agreed with the agency to the Railway Station of Ouro Preto, the offset is done on foot from the center of Ouro Preto to the Station, the walk will be approximately 10 to 15 minutes . 10:00 - Departure from the Tourist Train Railway Station in Ouro Preto to Mariana. During the course can be viewed an astonishing landscape composed of mountains and waterfalls.
11:00 - Arrival in Mariana, brief visit to the Mariana Railway Station.
11:20 - Walk through the historic center of Mariana, the visit begins at the Cathedral of Mariana, then an Organ concert in the Cathedral of Mariana.
12:30 - Lunch break (an hour of free time), we recommend nearby restaurants closed to the the Praça da Sé and Jardins, the Lua cheia and Rancho restaurants.
13:30 - Visit to the Museum of Sacred Art, considered the richest in sacred art of Mines and the second in Brazil. The park will provide a rare real estate, Portuguese images, works in soapstone and rosewood, Athaíde paintings, Chinese pottery, porcelain vases, objects of the ancient Bishops environments complete with rare images of the eighteenth century.
14:15 - Going to the Plaza and Mines General visit to the churches of St. Francis of Assisi and Our Lady of Mount Caramel, and the House of Chamber and Chain.
15:00 - Depart from the historic center to passage Mariana.
15:30 - Visit to Mine Pass, the largest gold mine open to visitors worldwide.
16:10 - Departure Mine Passage to Ouro Preto.
17:00 - Time of arrival at Ouro Preto, the customer will be taken to the hotel they're staying or elsewhere in the city, according to your preference and / or need.
