Mr. Marcos inherited the Hotel Sorrento 25 years ago. An avid traveller himself, Mr Marcos loves to explore the world and has already been to Hong Kong, Manila, Seoul, Bangkok, Istanbul, USA and some countries in Central and South America. He has many stories to tell about his adventures; one of his favourites is about a trip to Paraguay with two friends at 18 years of age. On the return trip they got stuck at the county border because they were transporting whisky and as they were under age, they were not allowed to have it and so had to leave all of the gifts for the family with the policemen!
Besides travelling, Mr. Marcos has others hobbies such as walking and jogging in the street, riding motorcycles and spending his weekends on farms or in natural parks. In Belo Horizonte he loves to have fun in a nice bar!

Feel confident knowing that like you, Hotel Sorrento management is conscious of our responsibilities to our environment; thereby, we've implemented efficient energy-saving appliances, introduced water management practices, trained our employees and educated our guests about the importance of minimizing the environmental impacts of travel.
Hotel Sorrento is also involved with local associations such as the Belo Horizonte's Convention & Visitors Bureau in order to develop responsible tourism in the city and is also keen to help maintain the Raul Soares Square as a safe and beautiful area.
