Brasil Palace Hotel is an historic hotel, which has been opened since 1934. It is part of the Praça Sete architecture, being therefore listed as an historic heritage. The hotel has an excellent location, in a pedestrian only street, facing the Praça Sete Obelisk.
In the past the hotel has received major celebrities, including Pelé, and the Brazilian Soccer World Champion Team in 1970, Roberto Carlos, the king of Brazilian music, and the ex-president Juscelino Kubitschek, the Belo Horizonte's mayor in the 40s, who used to participate in many balls at the hotel, common at the time.
The hotel is often used to film cinema scenes and video clips and often, it receives groups that make advertising and fashion campaigns. Having one of the best views of the Praça Sete and with the process of revitalization of the city centre, the hotel has gained reforms that recovered its charm and glamour. Recently it conquered a full page article in the most important newspaper in the state - the "Estado de Minas"
