The hotel focuses on avoiding water loss by putting a sign inside every hotel bathroom alerting the guest about water wastage and suggesting that they hang their towels in a specific way. With this simple act, the housekeeper will understand that the guest is going to use the towel for another day. This is an effective way of reducing water waste and sensitizes the guest about the importance of caring for the destination.
The Othen Hotel's office uses recycled paper and actively supports social projects, such as the Uerê Project in Rio de Janeiro.
