The Augustus Hotel is strategically located at the Avenida do Contorno in the Lourdes neighbourhood. When you are staying here, remember that besides being very close to Savassi (the best region for those seeking nice restaurants, bars and amusement), you will have many options to board cheaper buses for the central regions in Belo Horizonte (the Circular Buses, yellow ones). There is a taxi station across the street.
Nearby, you will find a range of cheap or sophisticated kinds of food. About three blocks away, there is a famous ‘street hotdog' at the corner of Contorno and Marília de Dirceu St., which is open at night; people often go there to eat after a busy night. Also in the Marília de Dirceu Street, you will find renovated restaurants such as the Pizzaria Marília de Dirceu, one of the best pizza places in the city.
